Kathleen Hocker returned to her passion for photography after many years as a science teacher. With time and energy available to develop a body of work, she sought out situations that provided her with opportunities to integrate her background in chemistry and physics with her love of photographic imagery.
She is drawn to mechanical objects that prove to be fascinating on various levels. The surfaces and components of these machine provide a wealth of raw materials for discovering photographic images. The visual products are the result of exploring ideas and images by looking closely seeing differently and recording the results.
Ms. Hocker currently resides in St. John, Indiana and may be contacted via email.
